Scholarships

A limited number of $500 scholarships are available to students actively enrolled at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution. Scholarships are given out upon acceptance of a written book review to be published on Niara.org.

Who is this for?

Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada may apply. Students may belong to any race, ethnicity, religious or cultural group. International students are encouraged to apply.

How does it work?

  1. Read a Sikhi-related book and apply using the form below. Plan on having this book with you to reference while you are writing your review.
  2. Once your application is submitted, expect a response within a week confirming your "place in line", along with a guide to submitting your book review. Scholarships are limited and given on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you don't qualify, you will be notified at this point of the application process before you submit your book review.
  3. Once you receive the submission guide, write an approximately 1000 word, original-work book review. Reviews written in ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ, English or French are accepted.
  4. Your book review will be published on Niara.org at the discretion of our editors and your scholarship will be awarded within 30 days.
